Philip K. Dick’s Alternate America

Earlier this month, we held another discussion in the Worlds of Speculative Fiction series, this time centered on a selection of Philip K. Dick’s novels – those concerned with his treatments of what can be called “Alternate America” – in particular The Man in the High Castle, Flow My Tears The Policeman Said, VALIS, and A Scanner Darkly.

We had a great discussion centered on the philosophical themes found in these novels – the videorecording of which can be found here.  I’m also happy to say that we’ve been invited to continue the series at the Brookfield Library next year, for another 12 monthly meetings!
