Speculative Fiction Talk – Frank Herbert’s Dune Universe

We recently held our sixth session in our monthly series, Worlds of Speculative Fiction – Philosophical Themes, this time focusing on the narrative universe of Frank Herbert’s series of Dune novels.  You can watch the video of the lecture and discussion here.

We had some excellent attendance and some great discussion – and one of the participants actually brought some of the original serializations of the novel in Analog magazine!

I could not find your email after our discussion in Brookfield on Thursday. The Ursula LeGuin book I was talking about is “Always Coming Home” written in 1985. The boxed set includes a cassette tape of music and poetry from the fictional people in the novel.
