Anselm of Canterbury in the Midst of History

For our second talk in the Philosophers in the Midst of History series, I chose Anselm of Canterbury – a thinker I’ve been researching, writing, and presenting on for nearly two decades.  This particular talk was focused on situating Anselm in his own rather tumultuous times, during which Europe was undergoing some significant changes and internal conflicts, with the Normans and the Church right at the center of Anselm’s story.

Here’s the video of the lecture and discussion.
