The GCAS is offering a free, open-access 4-week online course on Epictetus’ Discourses – one of the key texts for thoroughly understanding Stoic philosophy. The course begins officially on November 21, and runs through December 19 – but participants can join in at any time.
As the professor developing this course, I’m designing it to offer a number of resources to students enrolling in the course – lessons pages, links to resources, handouts, videos (students get a first peek at my series of new Core Concept videos on Epictetus), discussion forums. . . and weekly videoconferencing sessions with me, the instructor.
So, if you’ve ever had any interest in studying Stoic philosophy in a structured way, join in on this course!
